STEM4 one step closer to meeting region’s needs
UW Bothell and Cascadia College will increase the number of STEM students when a new building opens on campus. Daniel Jaffe, elected to the Washington State Academy of Sciences for 2021
Of the 20 scientists and engineers at the University of Washington elected to the Washington State Academy of Sciences for 2021, Professor of Environmental Chemistry and Chair of the Division of Physical Sciences Dr. Daniel Jaffe is elected from UW Bothell. Thirty-eight new members from Washington were chosen for “their outstanding record of scientific and technical achievement, and their willingness to work on behalf of the Academy to bring the best available science to bear on issues within the state of Washington.” Read in UW news about all twenty elected from UW.

A passion for community service
Pavly Galil has a deep passion for supporting other marginalized students. Whether serving as a peer navigator for the Student Diversity Center or representing the campus on the Provost’s Advisory Committee for Students, he is driven by his desire to build inclusive and equitable communities.
