Funding
Financial aid
Matriculated students, based on financial status, may be eligible for Department of Education Loans, and are encouraged to fill out the Free Application for Student Financial Aid (FAFSA) as early as possible. For information on financial aid and a link to the FAFSA visit the UW Bothell Office of Financial Aid & Scholarship.
Students in all fee-based programs are ineligible for the state employee tuition exemption, employee institutional tuition waivers or the UW Undergraduate/Graduate University Grant programs, including the Husky Promise program.
Scholarships and funding opportunities
Graduate scholarships and grant opportunities can be quite competitive and students are encouraged to search widely for opportunities. UW offers a variety of resources to help students get started:
- University of Washington Libraries Grants and Funding Information Service (GFIS) works with current and newly admitted UW graduate students to help identify and locate funding opportunities for graduate school related expenses. GFIS also provides specialized search services for funding opportunities for international students.
- UW Bothell Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships Resources guide students to explore UW Bothell scholarship, external scholarships, and UW Bothell Merit Scholarships, Fellowships & Awards.
- UW HuskyHires on-campus employment opportunities are available for current students (international students should view on-campus job details from the UW Bothell International Student Services).
