Free Film Screening: The Invisible Patients
We are proud to present a free screening of The Invisible Patients: Life at the Edges of the Healthcare System. This will be the Seattle premier of this documentary which was an official selection at the 2016 Heartland Film Festival, Cucolorus Film Festival, and won the Audience Choice Award at the 2016 Indy Film Fest.

Community Partnerships: LETI Expo, 8/13
This summer our BNURS 409: Partnerships in Community Health students collaborated with community partner Latino Education and Training Institute to plan and promote the LETI Expo. The Expo is a free event taking place on 8/13 on the Edmonds Community College campus.

Eleanor Marsh Trujillo, UWB Nursing alum, is one of this year's outstanding nurses honored at the UW Seattle School of Nursing's annual Nurses Recognition Banquet. Eleanor has been awarded the Distinguished Diversity Advocate Award.

Butch de Castro Awarded Five Year Grant
Dr. Butch de Castro, Associate Professor of the UW Bothell School of Nursing & Health Studies, along with collaborators at the UCLA School of Public Health and the University of San Carlos Office of Population Studies (Cebu, Philippines), have been awarded a five-year grant from the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health & Human Development of the National Institutes of Health to study obesity risk in the context of international migration.
