Sigma-The Honor Society of Nursing
Whether you become a Sigma member as an honor nursing student or as a professional community member, you will connect, engage, learn, grow, advance and elevate your practice. We encourage you to explore the many benefits of a Sigma membership and its local Chapter-at-Large.
Membership options
- Master of Nursing: Twenty-five percent of credits completed with a 3.5 GPA or above, typically 11 credits.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing: Completion of one-half of the required nursing component of the curriculum which is at least 16 of the 30 required credits of core nursing courses, GPA of 3.0 or higher and rank in the upper 35% of the graduating class.
Sigma Academic Nursing Honors eligibility is calculated annually at the end of winter quarter. Eligibility requirements and ranking may change from year-to-year. Students selected and who chose to join, receive an Sigma nursing honor cord and are invited to the induction ceremony held on campus in early June. Notifications are sent via email in early April.
