Amaranth Borsuk and Shauna Carlisle Win Worthington Distinguished Scholar Awards
IAS faculty members Amaranth Borsuk and Shauna Carlisle received Worthington Distinguished Scholar awards for 2016-17. Borsuk will use the funding to support her completion of her book manuscript, The Book (under contract with MIT Press). Carlisle will devote her time to a study of African and Afro-Caribbean chronic health.

Carrie Bodle and Amaranth Borsuk Receive Juried Award for their Collaborative Installation Wave Signs
IAS faculty members Carrie Bodle and Amaranth Borsuk have received the $10,000 grand prize in the juried exhibition Giant Steps: Artist Residency on the Moon for their collaborative installation Wave Signs. Giant Steps challenged artists to imagine what they could create if they had 48 hours on the lunar surface with one accompanying astronaut to assist them.

For the exhibition Giant Steps: Artist Residency on the Moon, IAS faculty members Amaranth Borsuk and Carrie Bodle have created a proposal for a hypothetical artwork to be installed on the moon and a gallery installation that brings the concept of their work to life.
