Upcoming Events for Pre-Health Students

The following events are being hosted by UW Bothell or other health organizations for the benefit of all Pre-Health Students.

The University of Washington is committed to providing access and accommodation in its services, programs, and activities. From 12:00-12:50pm on most Mondays, drop into the Zoom room to ask quick questions. Students are seen individually in the order in which they arrive in the Zoom room.

The Pre-Med Club is bringing back the MCAT Game Night on Feb. 3rd from 4-5:30 pm in DISC-162!

Join us for some fun games, snacks, and an information session by our wonderful Pre-Health Advising team to help you get your questions answered and learn more about the test. Whether you don’t know where to start or are already studying, this event is great for everyone 🙂

Join us for our upcoming February 2025 MCAT Testing Year Update for Examinees on Thursday, Feb. 6, 3 – 4:15 p.m. ET (12:00-1:15 Pacific time) to learn about updates to the 2025 MCAT testing year, the registration process, and MCAT preparation resources to get ready for the exam. A live Q&A will follow the presentation.

The Health Professions & Natural Science Pathways Manager will share tools for your search along with ideas to consider on your path to graduate school.

Come join pre dental club for our tooth plushie crocheting event. This is a great way to practice your crocheting skills. Crocheting improves dexterity and hand-eye coordination by requiring precise and coordinated use of the hands and fingers, which is great for future dentists!

For those PREPARING to apply to majors, scholarships, graduate/professional programs – let’s talk about what’s needed for an effective personal statement. The Health Professions & Natural Science Pathways Manager will share tips for writing your statement and lead an interactive workshop where you will work together to start your statement and leave inspired to complete this essential piece of any application.

Inside Admissions, a webinar hosted by the UW School of Medicine Office of Admissions and Alumni Association, is for anyone considering applying to the UW medical program.

  • Dr. LeAnna Muzquiz, associate dean for admissions, will provide in-depth perspective and advice on the experience and personal qualities that the admissions committee looks for in applicants.
  • The webinar will be held on February 25, 2025, from 5 to 7pm (Pacific Time), and participants can submit questions in advance when they register.

Looking for ways to earn volunteer hours?

Great News! Our Pre-Dental Club is bringing back the ‘Dental Wellness Drive’ where you and your peers can come and create hygiene kits for people in need. Supplies and snacks will be provided. Hours will be tracked by our club committee. Make sure to bring your UW ID!
