Event planning assistance
Event planning takes time and attention to details especially if you are involving outside presenters such as employers or alumni. It has become even more complicated with virtual, in-person, and hybrid options now available. A successful event takes a minimum of 8 weeks of advance planning. Let our team help your club with your next event.
We can provide event support in several ways:
Career Services is here to provide additional support when planning career-related events. Student Clubs primary source of support is Club Council and SEA. Student Engagement and Activities’ Club Resources and Club Handbook can be found on their website, and should be reviewed prior to planning career-related events. Be sure to follow all Club Council policies and procedures. Remember all clubs must be registered to receive support from Career Services.
- Provide advice on logistics and overall planning of your event.
- Advise student organizations on how to find and contact companies, organizations, or alumni speakers/presenters for your event. If we have a contact with companies we can also serve as a liaison to begin the conversation on behalf of your organization.
- Have an idea but not sure where to start? We can help with that too! Planning ahead is key to a successful event, and we would be happy to help turn your club’s ideas into realities.
- Clubs interested in event assistance should contact Student Outreach Coordinators at uwbsoc@uw.edu.
Event co-sponsorship:
When co-sponsoring event, we will work with you during both planning and execution. Regular meetings will occur between a member of your planning committee and our Student Outreach Coordinator. Both organizations will appear on advertising for the event.
Clubs interested in a co-sponsorship should contact Student Outreach Coordinators at uwbsoc@uw.edu.
