Matthew on mentorship
When I was in college I really had no idea what I wanted to do with my life professionally. I majored in accounting because my parents thought it would be a good idea and I had a family friend who was a partner at a local CPA firm. I would’ve really benefited from having a relationship with a professional who I could talk to about my future goals and what having a career in accounting (or business in general) was like, and what unique skills or experiences I’d be able to bring to a new job. I am thrilled to be on the other side now, and truly believe that I can help students as they make decisions that will impact the start of their professional lives.
