Kavita Kamani is a Partner Director of Product Management on the Supply Chain Engineering team at Microsoft. The Supply Chain Engineering team powers the Microsoft’s Cloud and Device Supply Chains which bring hardware devices and cloud services to Microsoft’s consumer and commercial customers. She started as a developer and moved into a PM role while pursuing her MBA at University of Washington. She loves being able to influence and define product strategy, and obsesses about customer needs. She is also an advisor to the Product Management course at the University of Washington MBA program. As a PM, she started on developer products (.NET Developer Platform), and then focused on communication, collaboration and productivity solutions for Information Workers. A few of the products where she’s left a mark are Lync/Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint. She is passionate about growing the representation of women in technology, and has been involved in driving initiatives within Microsoft and also externally with organizations such as Women in Product. On the personal front, she is married and is a mother of two young and energetic kids, and loves sports and is an avid runner, biker, skier, hiker and mountaineer.
