Isaac on mentorship
Mentoring is a passion for me. I am always excited by opportunities to mentor, inspire, and learn from others; from interns to developer/startup communities in Africa. Personally, I have benefited immensely from having mentors who have played a critical role in helping me navigate various aspects of my career. I have come to believe strongly in the following statement by Isaac Newton: “If I have seen farther than others, it is because I have stood on the shoulders of giants”. I want to give others similar opportunities as I was given.
Some topics I’m excited to mentor students in include:
- Product management
- Technology information systems
- Business leadership, strategy, and communications
- Entrepreneurship
Favorite book:
I love reading audiobooks, and usually aim to read an average of one book a week. Some of my best books in recent times have been: Loonshots by Safi Bahcall, The Prosperity Paradox by Clayton M. Christensen, Unshakeable by Tony Robbins.
