Born in Plattsburgh, New York, Brittany spent the bulk of her childhood on the east coast, in both New York and South Carolina. She moved to Washington state in 2013 where she met and married her husband, Michael, who was actively serving in the U.S. Navy. As a non-traditional student, Brittany began her academic path by serving as a military spouse, working full-time and juggling a full-time class schedule. Despite numerous family hardships, she was able to earn her Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Everett Community College in 2015 with accolades that include being awarded the 2015 Distinguished Graduate Award for the Accounting Department. In 2017, she earned her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Accounting from the University of Washington Bothell, where she graduated on the Dean’s List.
With a strong interest in business growth, Brittany started her career in public accounting in 2014 at Clifton Larson Allen. Brittany helped develop and grow their Outsourcing Department, providing accounting solutions for various industries in the Puget Sound. After three successful years at Clifton Larson Allen, Brittany joined Sweeney Conrad, P.S., as an intern in taxation, before moving into an associate role that combines her passion for both tax and client accounting services.
Brittany now leads BDO’s Business Services & Outsourcing Practice located in Seattle, WA. With technology transforming the accounting industry, she continues to develop best practices that help the firm transform from pure compliance to next-level advisory services. Within the firm, she manages professionals who provide cloud-based business and accounting solutions that include paperless invoicing and bill payment solutions, integrated payroll and expense reporting, fixed asset management, month-end close reconciliations, financial statement preparation, and more.
With more than eight years of experience in the accounting industry, she has spent her career serving clients in various industries including real estate, technology startups, professional services, and consumer products. Brittany is passionate about providing clients with a deeper understanding of how to make their businesses more successful through technology and numbers.
Brittany loves being able to mentor and coach other young professionals in the accounting profession. She previously served as the the Vice Chair for the Washington Society of CPAs (WSCPA) Bellevue Chapter. When Brittany is not in the office or volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her husband and five children. She is an avid Bunco player, and is a huge Husky and Seahawks fan. She currently resides in Lake Stevens.
