Omid Kazemini: A Profile in Leadership and Achievement at UW Bothell School of Business
Omid Kazemini, a senior in Business Administration at the University of Washington Bothell School of Business, has distinguished himself through his active engagement with the resources available at the UWB Business School and his significant contributions to Delta Sigma Pi (DSP), a professional business fraternity.
My goal is to always make the best out of every situation I am in. Taking advantage of the opportunities the Business School has offered, like workshops led by recruiters, career fairs, and the Mentorship EDGE program, was the best thing I could’ve done. I’m forever grateful for the opportunities this school has provided me and the people I’ve met along the way.
Engagement with UW Bothell Business School
Omid’s proactive approach to finding the best in every situation provided him with practical insights and networking opportunities that complemented his academic studies. UW Bothell focuses on hands-on opportunities so students feel confident they will land a career in their field upon completing their degree.
Involvement with Delta Sigma Pi
Upon transferring to UWB, Omid joined Delta Sigma Pi and eventually assumed the role of President. During his time as a student, he contributed to the growth of the chapter’s membership and facilitated professional events and partnerships. His leadership within DSP earned him recognition, including the Pacific Northwest Region Collegian of the Year Award.
A highlight of Omid’s time with DSP was the Grand Chapter Congress in Houston, Texas. DSP members from all over the country attended the week-long conference, which occurs every other year. Over 750 members from across the country attended including UW Seattle DSP president, Nishant Shah, and the former DSP VP of Marketing and current VP of Alumni Relations, Timothy Jo. (Event photographed to the right).
“I joined a business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi, and was on the executive team for two years, including being President this past school year. Joining DSP was the best decision I made during my time here. Through this organization, I refined my public speaking and management skills, attended business conferences, built connections across the country, and landed a job after graduation.”
Professional Endeavors
Omid currently serves as a Business Systems Analyst for UPS Capital®, where he applies his skills in data consolidation, AI integration, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. His proficiency in project management with DSP has contributed to the optimization of project workflows and enhanced collaboration within the organization. Upon graduation he will work as a full-time Business Systems Analyst for UPS and simultaneously pursue a master’s degree.
Omid Kazemini’s journey at UW Bothell Business School and his involvement with Delta Sigma Pi exemplify his commitment to academic and professional growth. Through practical engagement and leadership roles, he has leveraged opportunities to enhance his skills and contribute meaningfully to both academic and professional spheres. Congratulations to Omid and best of luck on his future endeavors!
