About
Dr. Misha Mariam is an Assistant Professor of Management. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Washington, Seattle, Foster School of Business. She joined UW Bothell’s faculty in 2020.
Dr. Mariam studies the effects of leadership and communication on employee performance & well-being, team processes & outcomes, and organizational strategies. She also looks at workplace phenomena that are especially relevant in modern organizations such as value-driven perceptions of leader inclusivity, implications of mindfulness for memory, processes of global virtual teams (GVTs), and employee identity transitions during organizational change. Her work is published in premier management journals, including Administrative Science Quarterly, Business and Society Review, and Critical Perspectives on International Business. She regularly presents at and reviews for the Academy of Management.
Dr. Mariam teaches Organizational Behavior, Ethics, & Inclusivity to undergraduate students. Undergrads in this course engage in a quarter-long project on real organizational issues in which they collect data to identify problems and offer evidence-based solutions.
