Meet the Staff

Group Fitness Instructors (GFI) plan, lead, and facilitate group fitness classes for the ARC at the Fitness Center. They create an inclusive and welcoming environment by providing options for all skill levels and help participants reach their fitness and wellness goals.


2024-2025 Group Fitness Instructors

Sarah Hoang

Sarah is a fourth-year student at University of Washington Bothell and is majoring in Elementary Education. She will be teaching Pilates this academic year. She likes Group Fitness because it is a fun way to stay active; by working out in a group setting, it helps keep everyone motivated. Her favorite exercise is glute bridges.

Phohanh Tran

Phohanh is a second-year student at University of Washington Bothell and is a CSSE major. She will be teaching Total Body Strength this academic year. She likes Group Fitness classes because they are a welcoming environment that help her grow, not only physically, but as someone who can help guide others in new things. Her favorite pose is a side stretch, because it helps open up her back in the mornings.

Sabrina Prestes Oliveira

Sabrina is a fourth-year student at University of Washington Bothell and is majoring in Data Visualization. She will be teaching Yoga Power & Restorative this academic year. She enjoys Yoga, because it blends three fundamental skills: mindfulness, flexibility, and strength. The practice has made a big difference on her mental health, and Group Fitness classes provide a welcoming and stress-free environment to take that much-needed time for self-care. Her favorite poses are pigeon pose, child’s pose, Masalana, and sun salutations.

Jason Kim

Jason is a second-year student at University of Washington Bothell in the Senior Class Standing studying Business Administration: Leadership & Strategic Innovation. He will be teaching Cardio Kickboxing & Kickboxing: Skill Session this academic year. Why Jason enjoys Group Fitness is he wants to share his knowledge and experiences from Kickboxing to students, faculty, and staff to create a healthy, active, and most importantly, a fun environment for all. Helping individuals improve their physical and mental health is one of his greatest passions – HEALTH IS WEALTH! His favorite exercise is a 3 Count to a Roundhouse Kick.

Azmeen Kausar Mohammad

Azmeen Kausar is a second year master’s student at University of Washington Bothell. She will be teaching Yoga Vinyasa Flow this academic year. Why she loves Group Fitness is getting to connect with individuals, adapting the workout plans to all fitness levels, and celebrating everyone’s progress. Her favorite yoga pose is cobra.
