Dr. Appel at APHA 2020 – Creating the Healthiest Nation

Behavioral Health Director and Lecturer Hoa Appel will be making two presentations at this year's American Public Health Association (APHA) annual conference. The first is titled "Psychiatric Disorders in Latinas: Discrimination, family cohesion, social support, and religious involvement". The second is "Character strengths and religious coping positively linked with anxiety in cardiac patients." Dr. Appel has served as a journal and abstract reviewer for APHA and has been an APHA member since 2005.
