Please join us for three zoom presentations on Death & Dying on Tuesday, 8/4, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The presentations were developed by students in BNURS 424: Population-Based Health in Community Practice. Presentation topics will include Cultural Aspects of Death & Dying, Death Cafe, and an Advance Directives Info Session.

9:00 a.m. Cultural Aspects of Death & Dying: This group will present pertinent cultural information related to death and dying for people supporting families with a loved one at the end of their life. They will highlight cultural practices from Mexico, India, Vietnam, and a local Native American tribe.
9:30 a.m. Death Cafe: an open discussion about death and dying in hopes of becoming more comfortable with this topic. Feel free to come and share your perspectives or come and just listen in.
10:00 a.m. Advance Directives Info Session: This group will discuss what an Advance Directive means to you and your family. The students will share resources to help you find an Advance Directive document that you can use and community classes that will support you in completion of your personal Advance Directive.
