Montana Gray Memorial Scholarship Recipient
Congratulations to BSN student Sara Welty! Sara was selected to receive the inaugural Montana Gray Memorial Scholarship for $500. She was chosen for her commitment and passion to improve the lives of LGBTQ+ individuals/communities. Sara volunteers with Seattle Counseling Service, a community based organization that has been dedicated to promoting health and wellness within the LGBTQ community, and worked on Project Neon (Needle and Sex Education Outreach Network) and Project Peer (Peer Education Enrichment Resource). She hopes to use the scholarship money to continue to further her nursing career and pursue a masters level program in public health. She is a wonderful representative and steward of the School of Nursing and Health Studies.
