Alumni Update: Janelle Cruz, Health Studies

Janelle Cruz, Health Studies alum, is currently working part-time as a research assistant at the Milken Institute of Public Health at George Washington University. While working as a researcher, she is also earning her Master of Public Health in Global Health Program Design, Monitoring, and Evaluation. Janelle's experiences in the Health Studies program provided an excellent comprehensive overview to the field of public health. According to Janelle, "a major takeaway that I came out with after completing the Health Studies major were my connections with professors outside of class – by visiting them during their office hours, and by simply having a conversation with them about my interests and goals," she was well prepared for her current classes in the Global Health Department.
