Essay Press/UW Bothell MFA Announces Winners of 2021 Book Contest
Essay Press and the UWB MFA in Creative Writing & Poetics are excited to announce the 2021 winners of their collaborative book contest: Violence Beside by Jade Lascelles and The Bird Hat Wearer’s Journal by Sarah Rose Nordgren. Essay Press will publish both books in the coming year, and the authors will be invited to read for the MFA in Creative Writing & Poetics Convergence Zone reading series. This year’s judge was Ronaldo V. Wilson. The MFA is honored to support these authors and to work with the editors at Essay Press, including MFA alum Travis Sharp (MFA, 2014).
