Ching-In Chen’s works selected for Re-Examining Conservation exhibit book
IAS faculty member Ching-In Chen’s “Lantern Letter: a Zuihitsu,” “Original,” “Predator,” and “Guest/Stalker” were selected to be included in an artist book to accompany the Re-Examining Conservation: Questions at the Intersection of the Arts & Sciences exhibit, on view April 4-June 10 in the Granoff Center for the Creative Arts, Cohen & Atrium Galleries at Brown University.
Selected texts will be on view in the Re-Examining Conservation “reading room” during the week of April 19-24. Re-Examining Conservation: Questions at the Intersection of the Arts & Sciences is the first exhibit in the Creature Conserve Biennial, a series of exhibits celebrating the work of artists, writers, and creatives around the world who are combining art, science, and traditional ecological knowledge to study, celebrate, and protect animals and their habitats.
Creature Conserve is an organization which supports artists, creative writers, and scientists to collaborate and explore the human connection to nature and to foster informed and sustained support for animal conservation.
