Karam Dana on “Palestine: Resurgent and Emergent Solidarities”
IAS faculty member Karam Dana participated in the American Anthropological Association’s (AAA) annual meeting as a panelist on a virtual roundtable titled “Palestine: Resurgent and Emergent Solidarities.”
Dana discussed how Palestinians have long sympathized with other colonized peoples, and that the story of Palestine is one of continued colonization, fragmentation, and social dismemberment, on the one hand, and a never ending anti-colonial struggle on the other, while recognizing that their struggle can and have been understood by other oppressed peoples.
