Mary Howisey and Curtis Takahashi recognized as distinguished alumni
Two stalwart members of UW Bothell’s Alumni Council will receive the 2021 Distinguished Alumni of the Year award. The award recognizes alumni who have exhibited distinguished community service or professional achievements since graduation.
Mary Howisey graduated in 2002 with a degree in Society, Ethics & Human Behavior and a minor in Human Rights. She jumped at the chance when then Chancellor Warren Buck invited her and others to create an alumni council. “It was a great way to stay connected and to share the amazing experience I had at UW Bothell with others,” she said. Curtis Takahashi is a 2004 graduate with a degree in Culture, Literature & the Arts. He has led scholarship award efforts to support current students and recognize alumni. “Coming to UW Bothell turned out to be one of the best experiences of my life.” he said. Read about Curtis Takahashi.
