Chelsea Nesvig and Nia Lam publish “Online library research refresher activities for third-year transfer students”

UW Bothell librarians Chelsea Nesvig and Nia Lam published a book chapter, “Online library research refresher activities for third-year transfer students” in Transfer Student Success: Academic Library Outreach and Engagement, published by ALA Editions. The chapter is about a series of online “refresher” activities that they and faculty members have been using in the core course for all new IAS undergraduates, BIS 300 courses.

Our desire to introduce transfer students to library services and resources, along with the idea of providing low-stakes opportunities to check understanding, inspired us to create online “refresher” activities for all Interdisciplinary Inquiry students to review important library research skills.
