Megan Dunn is elected to Snohomish County Council
Congratulations to Megan Dunn, who was elected to Snohomish County Council in November! The M.A. in Policy Studies alum will represent District 2, which includes Everett, Mukilteo, and Tulalip. An experienced community leader, Dunn is the former Chairperson of Everett Districts Now and the Lowell Neighborhood Association and a former City of Everett Planning Commission alternate. Recently, she served on the Streets Initiative Task Force, which focused on addressing homelessness in Downtown Everett. She has worked to advance local environmental policy change as the Policy and Programs Director for Northwest Center for Alternatives to Pesticides since March 2014.
On her victory Dunn says, “I am humbled and grateful for everyone's support and encouragement. This has been a very long job interview with thousands of people and I’m excited to get to work!” Dunn will be sworn into office on January 6 at the Bob Drewel Office in Everett.
