Anny Smith passes the Certified Health Education Specialist exam
Anny Smith graduated from UW Bothell in 2019 with a BA in Health Studies and minor in Gender, Women & Sexuality Studies (GWSS). Smith passed the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) exam this last week and this certification will be invaluable in her future work as a social worker. She hopes to bridge social justice with her background in healthcare and GWSS to provide a more holistic approach with those she serves by developing programs to address root causes of housing instability or homelessness that often include issues of healthcare inaccessibility, reproductive injustice, and unaddressed/untreated substance use disorders. Congratulations Anny Smith!
