Min Tang presents at Internet Governance and Communication Beyond Boundaries Conference
IAS faculty member Min Tang attended the 2019 International Communication Association (ICA) conference in Washington DC between May 24-28 and presented at the Internet Governance and Communication Beyond Boundaries pre-conference at the American University. Tang’s presentation on “Huawei versus U.S.? The Geopolitics of Exterritorial Internet Infrastructure” connected her research on the geopolitics of global Internet infrastructure to U.S. government’s recent indictment on Huawei and explored the implications of this case to the current Internet governance framework of multistakeholderism.
The Internet Governance and Communication Beyond Boundaries pre-conference was hosted by the Internet Governance Lab at American University and co-sponsored by ICA Communication and Technology Division, ICA Communication Law and Policy Division, and Global Internet Governance Academic Network (GigaNet). ICA is an academic association for scholars interested in the study, teaching and application of all aspects of human and mediated communication.
