A Counter-Archive of Imprisonment - School of Interdisciplinary Arts & Sciences

IAS faculty member Dan Berger, M.A. in Cultural Studies alum Magdalena Donea, and UW Bothell Librarians Denise Hattwig and Dani Rowland publish an article in Public: A Journal of Imagining America. The article, "A Counter-Archive of Imprisonment," describes their collective work on the Washington Prison History Project, a digital archive of prisoner writings, activism, and policy that is housed at UW Bothell. The article appears as a case study in a special issue dedicated to the theme of "Beyond Mass Incarceration: New Horizons of Liberation and Freedom."
