IAS, CIE and Career Services Co-host Career Workshop for International Students
IAS faculty member Min Tang coordinated with Center for International Education and Career Services to offer a workshop on navigating career resources and skills for international students majored in media and communication studies on February 21, 2019. International Student Advisor Jennifer Kim explained policies and regulations on employment for international students and Career Advisor Jill Rand focused on campus resources for students to succeed in networking and interviews.
The workshop is part of the MCS International Student Mentor Program launched last May, which explores a collaborative model among MCS core faculty members, IAS advising office, and other campus units including Center for International Education, Career Services and Writing and Communication Center to further promote an open and supportive campus environment for international students at UW Bothell. Building on the current work, we aim to expand collaborations across all IAS majors in future.
