Ismaila Maidadi champions equitable access to labor support services at Workforce Snohomish

Alum Ismaila Maidadi has been a tremendous asset to Workforce Snohomish since joining the organization as Service Delivery Program Manager in 2017. Thus far, Maidadi’s largest contribution has been leading the National Dislocated Worker Grant and Rapid Response initiative which assists dislocated aerospace employees and their families.

Maidadi immigrated to America from Cameroon as an adult and has worked diligently to succeed. He graduated from UW Bothell with an M.A. in Policy Studies (’15) and B.A. in Global Studies (’12) with a minor in Policy Studies. From 2012-2015 he served as program coordinator, and later program manager, for UW Bothell’s First Year and Pre-Major Programs.

One of Maidadi’s newest projects is the Incumbent Worker Training Program, which upskills workers, enhances businesses, and increases opportunities to backfill with those seeking entry-level jobs. He feels passionately about closing the gaps in the labor market and education system, making success more accessible to everyone. Maidadi is a proponent of equitable access to support services and that everyone in the community is equally represented.
