Alice Pedersen at the Association for Contemplative Mind in Higher Education Summer Institute

IAS faculty member Alice Pedersen participated in the Association for Contemplative Mind in Higher Education's Summer Session on Contemplative Learning, a one-week institute at Smith College in Northampton, MA. This year's theme focused on how to integrate contemplative pedagogy with social justice pedagogy. In particular, Pedersen focused on developing her course for the FYPP Discovery Core, The Politics and Practices of Yoga, which asks students to critically engage with the history, economics, and cultural representations of yoga, as well as to participate in local yoga and contemplative practices.
