Brittaney Bunjong to Appear in November Issue of Allrecipes.com Magazine
Media & Communication Studies (’16, MCS) major Brittaney Bunjong is a foodie. Inspired by her mother she has been interested in food all her life. Her blog, “Plenty of Pineapples,” was started as a hobby in which she shared recipes from her Thai and Hispanic background.
Brittaney wondered where this passion for cooking and writing might take her in the future? While a student in IAS faculty member Wanda Gregory’s BIS 236 Introduction to Interactive Media Course two years ago, Gregory encouraged Brittaney to expand her blog into new venues including coverage of the food truck scene in the Pacific Northwest and focus on promoting her style of cooking across a variety of media platforms.
Gregory also arranged for Brittaney to meet with the senior management of allrecipes.com, the largest cooking site in the United States. Impressed with Brittaney’s talents and entrepreneurial spirit, allrecipes.com started following her blog and recently asked to feature her in the November/December issue of their magazine, allrecipes.com (circulation of 7 million) where Brittaney will appear in a two page spread entitled “Cooks 2 Follow”.
Congratulations Brittaney!
