Three IAS Students are Awarded Prestigious Mary Gates Research Scholarships
Kelsey Bolinger is a senior majoring in Society, Ethics and Human Behavior and Media and Communication Studies. Her project is titled “Representation of Race and Gender in PEOPLE Magazine.” Kelsey is working under the mentorship of IAS faculty member Julie Shayne. Bonnie Johnson is a senior in Community Psychology and her project is titled “Crow Postural Behavior and Vocalizations.” Bonnie is working under the mentorship of STEM faculty member Douglas Wacker. Alejandra Pérez is a Senior in Society Ethics and Human Behavior, and American and Ethnic Studies. Her project is titled “Decolonization through Student Activism: Documenting the Diversity Center Initiative at UW Bothell.” Alejandra is working under the mentorship of IAS faculty member Janelle Silva.
