Wanda Gregory Completes her PhD
IAS faculty member Wanda Gregory successfully defended her PhD at the University College Dublin in July. Her dissertation, entitled Mindful Games: Digital games as a therapeutic tool for breast cancer patients, explores how digital games and game technologies might be used to support stress reduction and improvement of executive cognitive function in women undergoing breast cancer treatments. As part of her research she created a rubric of game design elements to be used in the design of future games. Based on her research, she has been involved in the design of a mobile game to teach medication and is currently working on the design of a health game incorporating virtual reality.
