IAS faculty members present at the 2015 Teaching and Learning Symposium
IAS faculty members presented at 2015 Teaching and Learning Symposium. Gary Carpenter, Deborah Jacoby, and Julie Shayne all presented in their capacity as Community Based Learning and Research Fellows. Carpenter’s project was titled “Arts of Social Transformation;” Jacoby’s was “Creative Engagement Through Community-Based Learning,” and Shayne’s was “Researching and Archiving Local Feminist Activism: A Pilot Assignment.” Rebecca Price also presented two different projects, “Photo-elicitation Celebrates Postdoctoral Success in Hit the Ground Running” and “Training Biomedical Postdocs in State-of-the-art Teaching Strategies.” Ursula Valdez presented her project “Intercultural Learning as an Opportunity to Solve Global Environmental Issues.”
