Kristin Gustafson and Andreas Brockhaus facilitate workshop on UW Bothell learning objectives

IAS faculty member Kristin Gustafson, along with affiliate faculty member Andreas Brockhaus, facilitated campus-level discussions of assessment of student learning at UW Bothell, particularly in terms of the undergraduate learning goals. Brockhaus and Gustafson serve as this year's assessment working group leaders for technical literacy/information literacy and communication respectively. IAS is also well represented in the membership of the four ongoing working groups. This forum provided one of several opportunities for the campus community to participate in the process of articulating key elements of each learning goal or proficiency. The intent is to develop a common language to describe our shared enterprise in undergraduate learning.
