UW Libraries & database access
Everyone is welcome to visit the UW Libraries (Bothell, Seattle & Tacoma) to use books, journals, and most other materials while in the library.
While your UW NetID is permanent, library borrowing privileges and computer access expire when you graduate. UWAA members, however, are eligible for a UW Libraries Borrower’s Card and online access to the EBSCO Academic Search Alumni Edition database. Non-UWAA members and the general public may access UW research databases through guest research stations located within UW Libraries.
UW email & computing services
Alumni and former students are no longer eligible for UW email and computing services, including UW Gmail and UW Google Suite. Your UW NetID, however, never expires and provides you access to various UW resources.
You may forward your UW email address to a private email service at any time. If you need assistance, please visit this UW-IT resource page.
Note to graduating and departing students: On the 10th day of the second quarter in which you are not registered as a student, you will receive an email notification that your UW email account and computing services will expire in 14 days. We recommend that you set up UW email forwarding and save your UW Google Site long before this notification.
