Obtaining a Husky Card
Eligibility
Students
Students who are either newly admitted or returning and currently registered for credits are eligible to obtain a UW ID card (Husky Card).
Faculty & staff
Employees generally do not become eligible for a Husky Card prior to their UW official start date. If you have any questions about your Husky Card eligibility, please contact us at uwbreg@uw.edu.
For information regarding the conditions of and eligibility for the subsidized U-PASS benefit, see Human Resource’s website.
Obtaining a Husky Card
Eligible students, faculty & staff may obtain their Husky Card by visiting the Enrollment Services desk on the lower level of Summit Hall during building hours. You will need to have your UW student/employee ID number, as well as a U.S. state – or federally-issued photo identification, such as a driver’s license or passport. We do not accept high school IDs for verification purposes.
Photo requirements
If you are a new incoming student, you may use this portal to submit a photo for your Husky Card.
If you do not have a pre-selected photo you wish to use, you may visit a Husky Card ID Center to have your photo taken. Your Husky Card will be printed on site. The UW Bothell Husky Card Office is located on the lower level of Summit Hall. A list of other UW ID Center locations can be found here: ID Center Locations – Bothell
Please visit this site for photo requirements and upload instructions. Successful submission of your photo does not constitute a request for the printing of your Husky Card. Once your photo is approved you will receive an email with instructions to obtain your Husky card either through pick up or USPS mail.
Students who already have a Husky Card or who have previously submitted a photo are not eligible to submit another one through the online portal. If you’d like to take a new photo, you may visit an ID Center in person or contact uwbreg@uw.edu for assistance.
