October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month (NCSAM)!
In 2004, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the National Cyber Security Alliance started a campaign, NCSAM, to promote online safety and awareness. This year, the Office of Information Security (OIS) and UW Medicine Information Security will focus on four weekly key themes to share information on safe online practices:
- Cyber hygiene – October 7
- Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) – October 14
- Data classification – October 21
- Ransomware resilience – October 28
