Mail Services and Warehouse Operations

The mission of UWB Mail Services & Warehouse Operations is to provide reliable and efficient mail and warehouse-related services to the UW Bothell/Cascadia College community.  We strive to build good working relationships and incorporate best practices to ensure efficient, accurate, and secure handling of mail, packages, freight, surplus, waste, and recycling.  Excellent customer service through effective and sustainable use of resources is our goal.

Packages

All packages (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, Amazon, and other private carriers) are tracked using PackageX tracking system. Package customers are notified via PackageX email that a package for them has arrived and can be picked up same day at the mailroom location, or will be delivered next day to their departmental approved mail box/stop.

Packages that exceed 50 lbs., or multiple package orders may require an additional day or days for delivery. We request that customers coordinate in advance any deliveries of this type.

Freight

Freight is defined as palletized material, or packages when combined, would fill one or more standard pallet.

If you are considering ordering freight, please contact Mail Services before placing your order so that we can walk you through our freight acceptance processes.

Handling and delivery of freight may be billable depending on the scope of work required.

Postage Account Number Barcode Program

The Postage Account program has been established to ensure that your Work Tag(s) are properly charged for postage. The Postage Account Number (PAN) will be embedded into the barcode. Please visit Postage Accounts to set up an account if you do not have one already.

Printer Support

Mail Services provides the following supplies for most* Ricoh supported printers:

  • Letter sized (8.5” x 11”) white copy paper. Other-size paper, and/or colored paper are not provided. *There are a limited number of department-owned Ricoh supported printers that Mail Services does not provide paper to. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding paper support.
  • Toner
  • Staples
