Get Involved

There are many ways to get involved on campus through Student Engagement & Activities events and programs.

Campus Events Board Volunteers

Are you interested in event planning, community-building, music, art, social justice, comedy, photography, or graphic design? Volunteer positions are open for Campus Events Board, the group that sponsors major campus events for all students. If you are looking to connect with other students, build your resume, or become more involved, this position would benefit you! Email uwb-ceb@uw.edu for more information.

Clubs

Club Council provides opportunities for students to get involved on campus. Whether you would like to join a club or create one, Club Council is available to help get your club involvement started. For questions, contact Club Council at uwbclubs@uw.edu.

Elections Committee

The Elections Committee is a group of student volunteers that facilitate student government (ASUWB) elections. They recruit candidates, create elections policies, host candidate forums, and encourage the student body to vote. To get involved, contact the Elections Committee Chair at asuwbpar@uw.edu.

ASUWB Student Government

The Associated Students of the University of Washington Bothell (ASUWB) are an independent body of elected student representatives consisting of one president, one vice president and five directors. Learn more about ASUWB.

Student Media

UW Bothell Student Media is made up of: Clamor Literary & Arts Journal, the Husky Herald student newspaper, UWave Radio station and Media Marketing and Graphic Design Team. Student Media provides multiple creative media platforms for UWB students to inform and entertain the UWB community and explore their passions or interests. They can gain professional skills and hands-on experience in creative arts and writing, radio broadcasting, journalism, and represent diverse voices and identities. Students can be Clamor Journal editors, submit their artwork and writing, student reporters for campus news and events, DJ for on-campus events, host podcasts or live radio shows, volunteer at events, and learn about running a radio station, newspaper, or publishing an arts journal.

Services & Activities Fees (SAF) Committee

SAF is charged to all registered students for the express purpose of funding student services and programs. The level and distribution of the fee is recommended by the SAF Committee, approved by the chancellor, and authorized by the Board of Regents for each academic year. Annual requests must be for programs, services, and activities that will occur between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017. If you are interested in getting involved, visit the SAF Committee webpage.

Student Technology Fee (STF) Committee

STF committee is a yearly committee of students appointed by the ASUWB. We are responsible for reviewing proposals related to the $42/quarter technology fee that each student pays, and making funding recommendations to ASUWB. Proposals on how the money should be spent can be submitted by any current student, faculty, or staff member of UW Bothell. If you are interested in joining, visit the STF Committee webpage.
