Distinguished research award to McLoud-Mann

The University of Washington Bothell has selected Jennifer McLoud-Mann to receive the 2016 Distinguished Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity award. The associate professor of mathematics and colleagues made mathematics history and international headlines when they discovered a new type of convex pentagon to tile the plane.

Noted author, poet and screenwriter Sherman Alexie will deliver the commencement address to the 2016 graduating class of the University of Washington Bothell. UW Bothell mourns the passing of Leslie Ashbaugh

The University of Washington Bothell community mourns the death of Leslie Ashbaugh, who died March 29 after a long battle with cancer. Ashbaugh was assistant vice chancellor for academic achievement and senior lecturer in the First Year Pre-Major Program in the School of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences.
