Challenges failed to block Vi Nguyen’s determination to develop non-contact electrodes for enhancing electrocardiogram (ECG) recording methods with the support from the 2023 Founders Fellows Summer Research Stipend. Though the experiment didn’t always provide the desirable outcomes, Nguyen learned to problem-solve independently and strengthen resilience with numerous obstacles.

The Founders Fellow Summer Research Stipend support undergraduates dedicated to research and recognize their efforts in their field. This award provides up to $3,000 for each student every summer.
