National Nurses Week, May 6-12 UW Bothell nursing students are talking with firefighters, business owners and Bothell residents for a community health assessment to document their resiliency in the year following a huge downtown fire. A multimedia project will be part of a commemoration event this summer.

Time-honored traditions for the Class of 2017

Students build Mars robot for NASA contest
UW Bothell’s Trickfire Robotics team is competing in the NASA Robotic Mining Competition May 22-26 at the Kennedy Space Center at Cape Canaveral, Florida. The mission is to build a robot to mine ice granules on Mars for water people will need to survive on the Red Planet.

Representatives of more than 70 companies found nearly 400 students with resumes in hand Wednesday at the Spring Job and Internship Fair. The event was one of the biggest job fairs yet on campus. It took space in both the North Creek Events Center and the Activities and Recreation Center.

First hackathon in series targets campus garden
The first in a planned series of University of Washington Bothell community hackathons aims to make improvements at the garden sprouting on campus between the north parking garage and the sports fields. The Garden Innovation Challenge on April 21 is the work of the Hackathon Series Committee, a partnership of seven student clubs and organizations.
