Some University of Washington Bothell alumni become community partners. Nora Karena, master’s in cultural studies (MACS ’14), is now director of housing services for YWCA in Snohomish County. Mike Irons, master’s in public policy program (MAPS ’13), is programs manager for Snohomish County Juvenile Court in Everett.

Where are they now? Justin Gill at Yale
Justin Gill, who earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2013 at University of Washington Bothell, is now a student in the doctor of nursing practice program at Yale where he expects to graduate in 2019. Gill says his classes at UW Bothell taught him to consider broader concepts in health care and nursing.

‘Never too late’ attitude for 67-year-old grad

Professor Constantin Behler died June 22 at the age of 57. Behler was a member of the founding faculty for UW Bothell and the first recipient of the university's Distinguished Teaching Award in 1995.

Grads, families celebrate 2016 commencement
The University of Washington Bothell class of 2016 was applauded and cheered by a crowd of family and friends that filled the Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion and overflowed into Husky Stadium. Nearly 1,300 of the 1,800 members of the University’s 25th graduating class took the walk June 12.
