Study abroad trip offers new perspectives on environmental challenges

Dr. Avery Cook Shinneman went on a Study Abroad Program in New Zealand with five UW Bothell students to study the environmental challenges regarding invasive species. They experienced hands-on environment work and listened to Indigenous Māori perspectives on land management, gaining a new understanding to reconsider invasive species issues and environmental policies in Washington state.
