The art and practice of disability justice
Dr. Maureen West introduces disability justice through art and community engagement in her course, “Disability Representation in Society.” Students learn about the concept of community inclusion and integration from collective art projects, the history of disability justice, and collaboration with the Alyssa Burnett Center.
Community-Engaged Learning and Research (CELR) provides several research opportunities for UW Bothell students to collaborate with campus and community programs. The courses focus on creating hands-on, reflective, and skill-building experiences for students to apply theory to practice, develop professional experience, and contribute to the public good.
