Black spaces in place-based education
Lecturer Dion Crommarty introduces the concept of place-based education through his class “Place-Based Education Through the Prism of Blackness and Black Education.” His goal is to motivate students and future educators to explore the abundant contribution of African Americans in building and shaping local communities through learning their distinct perspectives and history.
Community-Engaged Learning and Research (CELR) provides several research opportunities for UW Bothell students to collaborate with campus and community programs. The courses focus on creating hands-on, reflective, and skill-building experiences for students to apply theory to practice, develop professional experience, and contribute to the public good.
