Digital Scholars use skills to fight ‘real world’ inequities
Two UW Bothell students, Drake Monfregola and Jordy Solorio Valdovinos, partnered with Snohomish County Legal Services to utilize their digital skills in helping low-income families with online resources and assisting them with the procedures for necessary forms. These skills, learned from the Digital Scholars Program, not only connect them with the local community but also cultivate their ability to pursue various career paths.
The Digital Scholars Program provides opportunities for undergraduates to enhance their skills and knowledge in digital marketing, data analytics, and data visualization. Students will participate in a three-quarter (spring, summer, autumn) experience with skills training on career/major exploration and collaboration with local communities.
