Government Relations
Supporting our mission
Government and Community Relations staff advocates for the University of Washington Bothell wherever and whenever the University is affected by local, state or national legislation.
To promote legislation and decision-making that supports our overall mission, we:
- Develop collaborative partnerships with business, municipal and economic development agencies;
- Build strong relationships with surrounding community, city and civic organizations, with emphasis on the region from Mount Vernon to Bellevue and beyond; and
- Advise our chancellor and other administrators on legislative strategy, and keep the UW Bothell community abreast of those legislative matters affecting higher education.
