Washington Monthly’s “The Other College Guide: A Road Map to the Right School for You” ranks UW Bothell No. 13 on its Best Bang for Your Buck (Western Schools) list.
The list rates 233 western colleges and universities in several categories, including best value based on net price, graduation rates and whether graduates earn enough to pay off their loans.
“A handful of students, staff and faculty started the UW Bothell journey just 25 years ago,” says Chancellor Wolf Yeigh. “We continue to foster our mission of providing access to an exceptional and affordable UW education, and our graduates are contributing significantly out in the real world as nurses, school administrators, business executives, engineers, and teachers, just to name a few. The UW Bothell education is certainly paying in dividends.”
In addition to explaining financial advantages of the colleges and universities listed, The Other College Guide gives students down-to-earth advice on choosing, applying and successfully graduating from the right institution for them.
The guide ranks the University of Washington Seattle No. 1 and University of Washington Tacoma ranked No. 22 on the same list.
In 2014, UW Bothell ranked No. 6 in the nation on the Washington Monthly 2014 Best Bang for the Buck list and No. 1 in the state of Washington in terms of value and quality in a study by Money magazine.
